'Stangs Hitting Their Stride

The Mustang girls fell to 1-3 with a 51-35 loss to the Raiders, but continue to get remarkable performances out of stars Meghan Underhill and Cory Ryan, who each remained undefeated in BSC competition in their specialties.

Underhill, a senior, ran 9.03 seconds in the 55 hurdles, the fourth straight time she has run the fastest time of the day in the event, while junior Ryan kept her streak of wins in the 300 alive with a 43.94. The duo also went 1-2 in the dash, with Ryan clocking in at 7.85.

Norwood’s other victory came from junior Lauren Duggan in the shot put, who also topped the league with a throw of 33-4 1 /2. The Mustangs got seconds from Rebecca Dyckes in the mile and Lauren Higgins in the 600.
