Golf’s Buckley advances

Norwood senior golf star Brendan Buckley advanced in the Division 2 South state tourney, carding a 75 last week in the first round at Easton Country Club. Buckley was scheduled to play in the second round at Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton this week, after finishing second only to Wellesley’s Will Gotschewski, who fired a 73, in the opening match.

The Mustangs also got a strong showing from senior standout Ryan Collins, who shot a 79.

Jim McGuire (88), Pat Conroy (91), Adam Kewriga (94), and Chris Ryan (95) also competed for the Blue and Gold.
